Skin care faux pas you better not do

“I’m not your average girl! I have 6 layers of products in my skin care routine.”
We cleanse, moisturize, protect, exfoliate, mask-up and do fancy things in the name of skin care but sometimes it seems like our skin just doesn’t care. Despite the investment in the best skin care products and tools, we never seem to get clear and healthy skin. It’s disheartening!
Let’s take a closer look at some of our daily habits that may be ruining our skin.
- Working out after a facial — It can cause breakouts. Always exercise before a facial. Before working out, splash your face gently with water and use a toner or hydrating mist.
- Skipping a shower right after working out — This too can cause breakouts and skin irritation. Shower immediately after exercise, cleanse the face and apply a hydrating sunscreen. With so many of us doing Zoom workouts at home, it is very easy to get distracted and postpone showering until later. And when we finally return to the gym always do this before getting on with the rest of your day.
- Not cleansing in the morning — During the night your skin goes to work repairing itself and absorbing the treatment products you have applied before bed. And there is such a thing as indoor pollution (especially now with the level of ash and smoke in the air) that can be equally…
