“I got 99 problems, but CBD oil solved like 93 of them”

As a skincare fanatic and an aesthetician, I am always looking for the next best thing in the industry and these 3 letters (CBD) touted as a panacea for a variety of illnesses has piqued my interest. It is said to cure a lot of skin woes from acne to wrinkles. While it still carries a stigma, due to it’s association with marijuana, consumer acceptance has grown so much — thanks to social media and Keeping Up With The Kardashians. As a matter of fact, it is one of the most talked-about product on the market in the last year.

It’s been a while since a single ingredient caused such industry-wide ripples and it joins the heady and popular ranks of hyaluronic acid, Retin-A and vitamin C that all carry prime place in the anti-aging and treatment tool box. But the thing I am really excited about is that more research is showing how beneficial CBD can be not only for the mind but for the skin too.

According to a Forbes article published in 2019, a recent Market Watch report projected that the global CBD cosmetics market is estimated to be valued at over $580 million, with North America leading the way. And it’s expected to hit $1.7 billion by 2025, predicts Grand View Research.
